“We’re only fruitful if our true inner life is released.” (Kirk Duncan)
Our seeds of fruitfulness often lie dormant in the dark ground of lostness. The shell of a seed must be broken apart in order for the life in the seed to rise towards the Light above the ground to become what it really is. ”
Just as Jesus was resurrected from the grave in order to bring Redemption to the whole world, so we owe it to our future to rise from the ground of painful circumstances.
We’re much like the proverbial apple–you don’t see it’s possibilities for fruitfulness until you cut it open. Lo and behold you’ll find several seeds inside that one apple. Each seed is an apple tree. But each seed has to go into the ground and die alone. It hurts our pride to be broken, but God says: A broken and contrite heart He will not despise.
If you’ve been hiding in the darkness of low self-esteem, abuse or rejection it’s time for you to come out of your shell! It’s time to start living up to your promised purpose and gifted capability. Don’t waste another minute! You have the potential to reproduce yourself. Awake, you who sleep. Arise, and Christ will give you life! (John 12:24)
