Fall 2010 Ministry Update

It’s been a busy ten months since we redesigned our Sheppard Ministries Board by adding new members, appointing a new chairman, Ed Bradley and a new treasurer Jordan Bateman. I stepped back as chairman at that time to become CEO of the ministry.  I’m happy to report that the finances have maintained  themselves since that meeting.  Several supporters have taken advantage of pre-authorized debit which our treasurer set in place with our bank.

On a personal note I’ve been busy with ministry opportunities. Have met many beautiful people and hard working pastors.
This weekend, I will be addressing the Surrey Fleetwood Baptist Ladies Conference at Newlands Golf and Country Club in Langley.
October 14 I leave for the U.K. and Ireland for two and half weeks of speaking engagements.
My sister Heather, widowed one month after I lost Art, is travelling with me.
November 4th we will rendevous with my son-in-law, Grant Bateman in London, along with Laura-Lynn Tyler along with the rest of her group from Vancouver to travel to Uganda for two weeks.
At Art’s Memorial, a young couple from Surrey donated $5,000.00 in Art’s memory to buy land and build a house in Kabbale for a single mother and her 4 children. It will be my personal pleasure to meet this family. Will also be addressing a large Women’s Conference in Kampala.
Can I count on you to pray for this faith venture… for the whole team for strength, good health and safe travel?
The other news is that I’ve relocated from Abbotsford to North Langley (Walnut Grove) to be closer to my church (People’s) and my family.

The New address for Sheppard Ministries is:
#420 – 8880 – 202 St;
Langley, B.C. V1M 4E7
Tel: 778 – 298 – 8938
I have a deep appreciation for each of you…
I bless you with the Favour of God in everything you touch and plan to do, not only in the Kingdom of God, but in your family situations as well!
Shining on….
Greta

My greatgrandson, Jackson Courage Bateman, and me.
